SHEPHERDSVILLE — Students at Shepherdsville Elementary can clearly see when adults offer them fun opportunities to help enjoy life a little bit more.
A total of 267 students received free vision examinations provided at the school by employees from Kentucky Eye Care, in association with the SES Family Resource Center.
As necessary, Dr. Jeffrey Pertain, OD, representing Shepherdsville’s Kentucky Eye Care location, provided more detailed exams. Company representative Cortney Burden said free glasses were also being provided to students in need.
Once the event wrapped up and came into focus, FRC coordinator Traci Gould said 42 SES students received new glasses, while every student who was examined took home a free pair of sunglasses.
